VentriJect is a Danish start-up company established in 2018 as a spin-out from a leading research center in cardiology at Aalborg University. The aim is to make Cardiorespiratory Fitness measurement a part of everyone’s health check by means of the Seismofit® System.
Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) measured as VO2-max may be estimated by the Seismofit® System by use of seismocardiography.
Seismofit® measures vibrations arising from heart beats and transmitted to the chest.
The Seismofit® is a small device measuring only 3 cm in width, 5 cm in length and 1,5 cm in height and weighs less than 25 grams. It is powered by a replaceable cell battery and features a high performance accelerometer and Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) communication.
The system further includes an adhesive patch, a smartphone App and a cloud-based algorithm.
The Seismofit® System is fast and easy to use and communicates with the companying app via Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE).
In close collaboration with Ventriject and Kapacitet (consulting engineering company) Brahe design was assigned to assist the company in bringing about a design for the small device ensuring that the quality and function of the product is reflected in the visual appearance.
Apart from the product design, the user guide as well as the packaging for the product was carried out by Brahe design.
